A dream

Out of nowhere
Which could be anywhere
She approached

Me, sitting upon the barn wood bench
Lakeside facing as each and every morning
Writing my thought and dreams

She said to me
Tell me what it is I see

Looking up
Into eyes shading truth
I said to her
Only if you listen
To the waves of reason and accept
Will you see what it is you see

Eyes setting like a sun on her feet
Ever so slightly she breathed
I’ve hidden long enough
Truth has left my soul
To listen and accept is my season

You’re a product of a story gone bad
I whispered to her heart
All intentions striking foul ground
A house built of cards
A belief made of sand
No foundation other than vanity
You are not to blame
For the course which was laid
You are however for lacking courage
For believing and following such loneliness
Rather than being true to yourself

You see I said
With a sweeping arch of my hands
The security of false impressions
Nourishes your fears
Failing to save yourself
Believing you are saving others

Eyes arisen looking into mine
Why so harsh you cut to my heart
She cried
Knowing full well
This truth she has seen

With my thoughts and dreams
Set to my side
I stripped the veil clear

You follow the way of lies
From a seed gone bad
By ego and pride
To only stop the harvest of rot
Needed is truth and more truth

Inhaling I sought the solstice saying
And now it is for you to decide
Whether it is all and always will be
Unlike what you have seen and been taught
The world this so big world
So much more than just about you

Finishing telling what she already knew
What she already could see
A mirror’s reflection
The surface of the lake so clear

With the winds of change
Cleansing the tree of old leaves and lies
Off she walked to nowhere
Which can be anywhere

Picking up my thought s and dreams
Saddling up to see another day
And knowing as knowing is
I would never see her again
