Some verse

Censorship
How do you react to censorship
The same way I react to narrow-minded thinking
I reject it shouting it down
Both are judging and denying
All that is
All that is to be
The freedom of expression
Of seeing and telling in a new fresh way
Don’t run and hide
Rather embrace
All that is
All that is to be

The “C” word
Courage
Conundrum
Collapse
Calamity
Catastrophe
Cable
Cooperate
Castrate
Calibrate
Celebrate
Campaign
Complain
Caretake
Cupcake
Canopy
Calligraphy
Crowbar
Cantilever
Cufflink
Cut-off

7.

The ancient explorers they made a choice
A closed world to many flat is all they knew
But these nomads had to wander the world
Knowing and believing that the stars don’t lie
Some came in peace while others destroyed and conquered
In the end regardless of intent the face of the world changed
As it always and always will because the seasons change
A perfect cycle that answers to no one

21.

Why do we always try
to make living a certain way
do this do that
follow the company line
I sat at a party of sorts
the other night
tucked away in a corner
out of the way
but able to observe
all the goings on
Strange after all these years
how little change there is
The same old people
just that…older
but not a day more wiser
or better at just accepting
that they might as well
stop trying to impress
those who are only
impressed with themselves
In the end
long before
the party ever ended
it ended for me
as I raced out the door
fresh winter air
blasting at my face
I cannot tolerate
never have really well
just doing things
the same old way
