Like Moses he leads his people
Wandering a barren land
Stripped of so much life
Left empty of all that was
Now only memories to share
In the burning barrels of despair
This modern day Moses he is the voice
The voiceless nowhere else to turn
This man of hope unafraid
To knock on Pharaoh's door
Unafraid to stand alone
Knowing what must be done
This west side Moses seeks no fame
A servant-leader truly humble
Leading his people to their promise
Parting all the obstacles of bleeding red fate
As only he can
This 21st century Moses
