Venturing into the "Blogosphere"

Recognizing after having made my "voyage" post that really this one should have been first, I will allow some explaining into what for me is a grand step in the "techno-world" of which so many are more familiar with than me. My son Kyle encouraged me to move forward with this. So any complaints need to be directed to him first!

I like to write...all kinds of things. I'm not very good as I am sure the "writing academia" would have a field day. But in some strange way what I do write makes sense to me, and it has to start there.

I am an "observer" of my world. Like a sponge I absorb things. Present something new to me, an idea, a person, a song, an author, a book, and I will research for days, weeks, and months all I can to learn.

I love wandering in my mind. Music is the perfect elixir! So is hiking, cycling, traveling, reading, and writing.

"Let's Break It Down" means looking at all things from as many different angles and perspectives as possible. This is how I challenge myself. I never take the "stock" answer to be all there is. Like John Keating, I stand on top of the desk every day. I ask the questions most are afraid to ask. I wonder about things most are afraid to wonder about. I believe in a world as big and as diverse as ours, there is never one way and one answer. And, just when we think we have it all figured out, "WHAM!", we get hit with a 2 x 4!

So I hope you will enjoy this journey a bit with me. I would love to have you share your thoughts, comments, ideas, and reflections, but please keep it civil as we seek "common ground".

  1. I look forward to answering all complaints. Doubtful there will be any, as this is amazing to read.

  2. Mr. Volenik, you write beautifully with insight and humility that inspire me. I know I'm not the first to say so. I'm sure I won't be the last. Welcome! Kyle, no complaints here!
