A Letter to May

Dear May!

Welcome to 2014. I am going to ask this of you right from the start. Please play nice this year.

April sure acted up toward the end leaving a wake of destruction and death for many. I don't know about you, but I feel like we all need a break from untimely tragedies and deaths. Wouldn't you agree we have enough death that just seems to be natural from old age and illnesses? So how about you taking a break this year and just kick back and relax. This would really help a lot of people.

You see, your friends December, January, February and March were pretty brutal to many as well.  They sure didn't go easy with all the snow and freezing cold temperatures. What I'm saying is everyone could use a spell to just catch their breath, thaw out a bit and smile. And let me tell you May, when you want to you sure can bring smiles.

With you comes increased warmth, plants and trees coming to life, sun and blue skies. You my friend are the month that harbingers hope!

What do you say? Do we have a deal? You go easy on all of us and I promise no one will complain about the heat from your friends June, July, August and September.

Well,  please think about it, and I'm  asking that you at least give us a chance!

Respectfully,
Frank
